Are you the UNcommon Experiential Production Manager we are looking for?

As an Experiential Production Manager you’re an air traffic controller with visibility and oversight across multiple project flight paths and the coordination skills to keep them on route and on schedule. Travelers are depending on you!

You will have a finger on the pulse of timelines, issues and bottlenecks, last-minute requests, and every other flux in the day-to-day experiential production flow. You will keep internal and external stakeholders apprised of progress and flag hiccups well ahead of time, working diligently to preempt problems before they happen and respond rapidly to unforeseen circumstances.

Reporting directly to the Senior Production Manager, you are responsible for the production of experiential project assets; supervise setup and strike; liaise with suppliers; supervise national movement and warehousing of assets; and coordinate logistics support for all Midfield experiential marketing programs. You will provide leadership and training to Midfield Logistics team members; offer recommendations on staffing levels throughout the year; and will supply your assistance with other duties as required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Own the production management and physical process as it relates to the development and construction of project assets

  • Maintain and grow a robust list of suppliers and trades persons who can support the development of unique project assets and who also share our commitment to value and quality

  • Develop highly efficient and effective logistic activation strategies, including setup & strike planning, transportation, maintenance and installation strategies, as well as thoughtful health & safety plans for all Midfield XM projects

  • Prepare & review equipment to pack before loading (Making adjustments if necessary / needed)

  • Supervise the load, transport, and unload equipment to and from events in a safe and efficient manner

  • Set-up, maintain, and dismantle events

  • Responsible for seeing that all jobs are completed on time, on budget and with a high level of quality.

  • Supervise and coach a team of experiential production technicians, or hired hands

  • Ensure successful logistical execution of events through effective planning, organizing, and communicating

  • Determine the amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)

  • Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.

  • Ensure output meets quality standards

  • Other various duties as required

  • Actively seek out innovation within the events discipline and act as the guiding force for new and different production identify opportunities

  • Demonstrate a collaborative work ethic

  • Carry yourself with an attitude and appearance which supports the values and creativity of Midfield Interactive

Skills and Qualifications

  • College Diploma, or equivalent experience;

  • 2-5 years experience working in experiential production is a must

  • Experience pulling trailers and comfortable driving large vehicles

  • Clean drivers abstract

  • Working knowledge of general warehouse operations is an asset

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace & Microsoft Office (word, Excel, etc.) is ideal

  • Detailed oriented;

    • Ability to communicate effectively;
    • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
    • Ability to learn and use electronic warehouse management software

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 10 lbs. regularly, up to 25 lbs and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.

  • The ability to work extended work days for travel and on site event builds

  • Physical ability to handle objects, tools, and/or controls.

  • Physical ability to stand for a significant period of time

  • Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, or reach may be required on occasion.

  • Ability to work in an environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature
